Final Essay comparing two artists from two of the above historical art movements.

In addition, when opportunities arise which will increase student understanding in various areas of the arts, deviation of some assignments may occur.  This will only happen to help students master materials and techniques to develop a personal style and awarenwss of art to illuminate, inform, and influence opinion.

Art

This class is composed of a series of projects that will meet the Visual Arts Standards, but will reinforce the concepts outlined in the Common Core Standards specifically in English Arts. The ideas of vocabulary, writing and analysis will be emphasized. This will be in addition to the idea of manipulation of tools and media to enhance communication in personal artworks. Students will use diverse resources to inspire artistic expression and achieve varied results. They will incorporate ideas from art exemplars for specified time periods and cultures. Students will choose accurate art vocabulary to describe works of art and art processes. These content art expectations help support what a student should know and be able to do in arts education to be ready for college and the workplace
