ATTENTION!!! Summer School Information

ATTENTION students and parents,

Summer School will be ON CAMPUS starting on Monday, June 7th at 8:00 am. We are looking forward to seeing all students return to in-person classes. Please read below for important information:
  1. Schedules will be distributed on the first day of summer school at 7:30 a.m.
  2. The summer session begins June 7 at 8:00 a.m. and concludes on July 9.  There will be no school on Monday, July 5 in observance of July 4th.  The schedule is as follows:
    • Period 1          8:00 am – 10:30 am
      Break           10:30 am – 10:35 am
      Period 2       10:35 am – 1:05 pm
  3. All school rules apply.  Review the Santana High School Rules and Regulations and the Rowland Unified School District Code of Conduct, dress code, and sexual harassment and reporting policy.
  4. Discipline problems are not tolerated in summer school.  Going to summer school is a privilege that can be revoked at any time.
  5. No food or drink in the classrooms.  Food will be provided at the end of the day after school ends.
  6. There will be no home-to-school district transportation available during the summer.
  7. The Summer School Attendance policy state that on the 4th day of absence you will be dropped from all of your classes.  There are no excused absences allowed in summer school.  Every day absent counts, so if you didn’t start coming until Tuesday, you already have one absence.  (See administration for special circumstances.)
  8. Tardy minutes add up to absences, including tardies after break, 3 tardies count as 1 day of absence.  Students with excessive tardies (more than 9) will be referred by teachers to the administration for review.  These students will be dropped.
  9. If you are dropped from one class you may be dropped from both classes.
  10. If you are disruptive, even if you are working, you will be dropped.  Defiance is grounds for dismissal.
  11. Cheating may be grounds for dismissal.
  12. Each week a list will be sent to the teachers and they will write down who has been dropped from their class.  So don’t stop going to one class if dropped from the other.
  13. The dress code will be enforced.  If you are sent home it counts towards your absences and/or tardies.
  14. You may NOT leave campus during break.  You must stay on campus from 8:00 to 1:05.  If you leave you may be dropped from summer school.
  15. Please bring your Chromebooks with you. If you will be needing a Chromebook, it will be checked out to you on the first day of school.
  16. The parking lot is off-limits during school hours.
  17. Students are not to leave the classroom until the bell rings.
