Hello dear students!
I'm happy you can all join me this summer. It is an unusual one, but we will make the best of it and try to make it as fun and educational as possible.

During the next 5 weeks, we will be focusing on the Common Core State Standards listed below. We will be reading articles and breaking them down, thoroughly understanding what the authors are trying to tell us in order for us to be able to gather the data needed to write an essay. Each week will be broken down into our 5 paragraph essay that we will have completed by the end of our summer session. By the end of each week you will have enough information to write a paragraph for your final essay.

Let's make this summer worth it, and let's work it! You got this!
