The ASB program at Santana is comprised of a spirited, energetic group of students whose main purpose is to bring a spirit of fun and involvement to the school. Students in the program are given opportunities to learn organizational and leadership skills, as well as how to motivate other students and staff to participate in activities designed to build a sense of pride and camaraderie. The class is designed to be very fun while teaching the students a sense of duty and commitment to their community. In addition to serving fellow students, ASB participates throughout the year in civic service activities such as Blood Drives, the Holiday Gift Basket Program, and fundraisers for various charities. Santana ASB has a proud tradition of responding when local, national, and global crises occur, such as Hurricane Katrina and the Haitian earthquake, raising money to help victims in need.
